Installation (Eclipse 3.4 Ganymede)

  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Help -> Software Updates
  3. On the "Available Software" tab, click "Add Site..." then paste this URL:
    http://ftp.linuxfoundation.org/pub/lsb/repositories/eclipse
  4. Under "LSB Features", select "LSB Eclipse Plugin" and click "Install"
  5. On the "Install" page, verify the plug-in by checking the box and click "Next"
  6. Accept the license and click "Finish"
  7. Wait, then restart Eclipse

Installation (Eclipse 3.3.1.1, 3.3.2 Europa)

  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install...
  3. Choose "Search for new features to install" and click "Next"
  4. On the "Update sites to visit" page, define a New Remote Site using this URL:
    http://ftp.linuxfoundation.org/pub/lsb/repositories/eclipse
  5. Click "Finish"
  6. Select the plug-in by checking the box and click "Next"
  7. Accept the license
  8. Choose the location where the plug-in and the feature will be installed (you must have write permission)
  9. Click "Finish" and "Install All"
  10. Wait, then restart Eclipse

To make sure that the plug-in is installed correctly, run Eclipse, choose menu item Help -> About Eclipse SDK, click the "Plug-ins Details" button and in the list of plug-ins find "LSB Integration Plug-in". If you have Plug-in SDK installed, you can also choose menu item Window -> Preferences, expand the "Plug-in Development" outline tree node in the dialog and choose "Target Platform". In the "Plug-ins" tab on the right pane, you will see the list of plug-ins. The checkbox near the plug-in "org.linuxfoundation.cdt.lsb" should be checked.


Uninstallation (Eclipse 3.4 Ganymede)

  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Help -> Software Updates
  3. On the "Installed Software" tab, select "LSB Eclipse Plugin" and click "Uninstall"
  4. On the "Uninstall" page verify the plug-in by checking the box and click "Finish"
  5. Wait, then restart Eclipse

Uninstallation (Eclipse 3.3.1.1, 3.3.2 Europa)

  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Help -> Software Updates -> Manage Configuration
  3. Fully expand the "Eclipse SDK" tree dialog
  4. Select the "LSB Eclipse Plugin" feature within the tree dialog and right-click it
  5. Select "Uninstall" from the context menu and Click "OK"
  6. Wait, then restart Eclipse
